ABOUT ME
I’m Charlie, a student at Futureworks (Manchester) studying Audio Engineering and Production. I have a grade 8 certificate for electric guitar and can also play bass, piano and drums. My interest within the audio industry began in 2016 when I started to produce music on Ableton. Consistently creating and producing on multiple DAWs over the years such as Reason, Logic Pro X and currently Pro Tools; has provided me with some versatility using different software in which I continue to improve upon. Through 2017-2019, I studied Music Technology at College which gave me a base of knowledge helpful in my degree. I took as many opportunities as I could to record musicians and spent time learning the fundamentals of mixing and improving my production skills. In my current studies at Futureworks, the university provides me with top of the range gear for recording, mixing, and mastering audio. This includes a wide variety of microphones to use; multiple live rooms; many different studios containing consoles both digital and analogue; and a variety of instruments. I strive to keep working in these studios as much as possible and expand upon my knowledge by capturing sound with new equipment, learning how to operate each studio and collaborating with fellow engineers.
